A full refurbishment and extension of a three-storey townhouse for a young family. The project is defined by stacked masonry volumes, fine brickwork and a run of glazed openings that draw light through the centre of the plan.

At ground floor, a new kitchen, dining and informal living space connects directly to the garden via floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. A plywood-clad core contains a bathroom and organises the formal and informal living spaces. Exposed joists create a decorative ceiling raft and frame views towards the rear terrace.

Upper floors accommodate four bedrooms including a master suite with Juliette balcony. A new roof terrace at second floor provides long views over Clapham.

Executed in light buff brickwork with flush pointing and stone copings for a crisp, monolithic finish.
