The house was stripped back and rebuilt to modern standards while retaining its character and proportions.

A key move was the reworking of the front elevation. The original façade had a single centered window per room, creating an awkward asymmetry. Two new windows were introduced to each floor, resolving the elevation and completely transforming the street presence of the property. The result is calm, balanced and quietly elegant.

Internally, the plan was rationalised to suit modern family living, with improved circulation, concealed services and higher quality finishes throughout. Joinery and bathrooms were entirely new, and the building fabric was upgraded for comfort and performance.
