Rodenhurst Road

Situated on a tree-lined street in the heart of SW4, this project involved the complete transformation of a family home through a meticulously executed ground floor extension and full internal refurbishment. The brief centred on replacing an outdated conservatory with a new structure designed to bring clarity, light, and a sense of calm to the rear of the property.

The new extension features two sets of Crittall-style steel doors, creating a striking connection between the living space and garden while establishing a symmetrical and balanced rear elevation. Overhead, a large rooflight spans the new living area, drawing natural light deep into the interior and creating a bright, uplifting central space for family life.

Internally, the layout was reimagined to enhance flow and functionality. By opening up the plan, we established a seamless connection between the kitchen, dining, and living areas, allowing the ground floor to feel both expansive and cohesive. Materials were chosen for their subtle textures and tones, contributing to a palette that feels natural, timeless, and quietly refined.

This Rodenhurst Road renovation exemplifies our approach to modernising London homes — respecting the character of the original building while introducing contemporary elements that are both purposeful and unobtrusive. The result is an open, light-filled, and beautifully resolved space — a confident response to the demands of modern family living.
