Stockwell Road, SW2

A full design and build project to extend and sensitively refurbish a listed townhouse in Brixton, SW2.

The brief was to increase usable space and natural light without compromising the historic character of the building.

A contemporary double-height rear extension was conceived as a lightweight insertion against the original fabric, with large-format glazing framing views to the garden. Internally, the existing structure and period details were restored and paired with new finishes, joinery and lighting to create a quiet balance between old and new.
